Enough of the Hot Weather!

Hey all,

Is anybody else melting in this heat? I mean seriously! Triple digits! It's ridiculous. Thank God for A/C!
Remember to keep hydrated and to keep your CHILDREN and ANIMALS OUT OF THE HOT CARS! Please! How would YOU like to be locked in a hot car? I don't think you'd like it very much. Imagine how your child or animal would feel. Common sense, people!

Anyway...

I hate summer. Have I mentioned that already? I think I did over a thousand times. I'm SO ready for Fall and Winter.

Random Rantings.

Hey all, 

You ever get that feeling where when you're in a blissful sleep and then somebody ruins it by knocking on the door? Yeah. That happened to me this morning. I got hustled out of my bed, didn't have time to shower, AND, I didn't have time to get coffee. *huff*. I'm whining, I know. But still. I didn't have time to brush my hair. I just figured I'd let it do what it wanted too (Seeing as it does that anyway, plus I just don't care anymore). 

Well, it's Wednesday. I have my pumpkin pie and vanilla latte with 3 shots in it. I think I'm going to talk to my math teacher about this one chick in there. She's so rude and distracting. I don't like to go up to teachers and talk about this stuff, only because it makes me feel like I'm complaining. But one of my advisors said that most students do feel that way, and to just talk to my teacher about it. 

I know that other students in the class are feeling the same way--they're getting fed up and so am I. She's so disrespectful and she thinks her shit doesn't stink. God, I hate people like that. 

ANYWAY! 

I'll let you all know how that goes or something... It's supposed to be another hot one today. I don't know how I feel about that-- I wish summer was over and it was Fall or Winter time. Those are my two favorite seasons. 

Fall: Leaves change and the weather gets cooler. The air smells crisp and brings back memories of good times. 

Winter: Snow. Snow. Snow. The weather gets below freezing and the way the snow sparkles when the sun hits it--beautiful. 

I tend to wear shorts in the colder months of the year. People are always asking me why and tell me I'm crazy for doing so. Then they ask me if I'm cold. I tell them, "I'm from Minnesota. I can handle this". Then they look at me and go, "Ohhh... THAT explains it." 

But lately, I find myself longing for fall quarter to start. I'm going to a University in the fall and I'm excited. New town, new school, new friends, (though, I will already know 2 people--which is nice), and new beginnings. 

It'll be a chance to begin a new chapter in my life. I'm going for a job that I hopefully want (I want to archive in the Library of Congress) and I want to study abroad. I want to live on the East Coast (Because I've lived in the Midwest, and I currently live on the West Coast). I want...Something new. 

Looking back, I guess you could say that I've always been a dreamer. I've always dreamed of going to bigger (and possibly) better places. But for now, I'm just taking it a step at a time. It's a day-to-day process and with each step gained, is another step towards my goal. 

Well, I guess that's all I have to say for now.

Fifty Shades of Grey Trailer

Hey all, 

Has anybody seen the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer yet? I saw it this morning and it's amazing. I've read all the books, (Though, I have to say that the 1st and the 3rd ones are my favorite. Ana finally grows a pair of balls in the 3rd one) and I have to say that I like it. It comes out on my birthday! So that'll be my birthday present to myself. Ha-ha. :D 

Many people say that the book is offensive/disgusting/etc. If you think so, then why are you reading it? If you haven't read it, then why are you judging? You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. If you HAVE read it and then you give your opinion, then fine. That's your opinion.

Random Drabble

Hey all, 

So I'm sitting here, waiting for my friend to show up so we can do our Stats homework. I was awake at 7:00, because I had an 8am appt with my advisor. I got so rushed that I forgot to have my coffee. But never fear, I bought some at school. 

Stat's is going alright. It could go better, but, alas, that's math for you. It comes easy for some people, and other people struggle. Most of my friends are math/science people. I'm a right brained person. I love the arts and history stuff. Not the maths and sciences. Blegh... Tired. 

It's 8:40am and I'm drinking my Candy Cane iced coffee. (It's just white chocolate and peppermint).

School & Update

Hey all!

Well, it's hot outside (Tell me/us something we don't already know, right?). It was in the 60's this morning (which is a nice change from the 80's/near 90's we've been having). I love cool weather--Fall weather. I hate summer--it's my least favorite season...EVER. 

School is going good--considering I'm only taking one class, right? Study group for Stats and I have a test on the 31st. It's a 3 chapter test--whoo-hoo... Notice my enthusiasm? 

I was looking online for a new backpack. Only because my laptop is 17.5" and the one I had didn't fit my laptop and it was a hassle. I used my computer bag, but then my shoulder started hurting. So, I scoured online and then I looked at High Sierra bags. Usually, I don't buy name brand backpacks, but I found this one that was 20" and it was on sale for 32$ (35$ after shipping). It's so nice. It's called "Grip", I think. I love it. It was originally $120 (or was it $102?, eh, who knows. Ha-ha). 

Was up til 3:45 this morning. Couldn't sleep. I hate taking sleeping pills because they just knock me on my ass--well, I had taken one Saturday night and when I woke up Sunday morning, I was all groggy. I made it until 11am, then I was out like a light. I woke up at 3:45pm. <-- That's the reason I couldn't sleep later! Damn it all...

I went out and bought some school supplies today at Wal-Mart. It's just a start, but I'll be collecting more. What I need for my dorm room is:

- Mattress Topper
- Mattress Pad
- Mini fridge
- Laundry pods
- Locks (For chest, etc)

Doesn't seem like a lot, does it? After I buy all that, I'm thinking of buying a new phone. The one I have now is a piece of shit. It shuts off on me, it doesn't send my texts, it freezes. I hate my andriod. People say that they love theirs, but I'm going to go with an iPhone 5. 

Well... I guess that's it. 

Keep cool and keep hydrated! Oh! Also, KEEP YOUR ANIMALS AND CHILDREN OUT OF HOT CARS. IF YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP YOUR DOG OUTSIDE, GET A SMALL SWIMMING POOL TO KEEP YOUR DOG HYDRATED AND SAFE!

Update-ish

I don't know what went on with the post below. No idea. Crazy, huh? 

So I'm going to my college on Monday for my orientation and I'm super stoked! I just ordered my 20" backpack (my laptop is 17"). I got the backpack on sale, too! It's a High Sierra brand. I've never had that brand before, so we'll see if it works out! 

I have been obsessed with the Raspberry Lemonade Low Calorie Gatorade. It's soooooooooooo yummy! :D <3

I've been thinking of creating a new blog for university life. What do you think? I don't know yet, I might just keep this one. Hm... 

It's supposed to be in the triple digits for the entire week next week. 

Oh! Speaking of next week...

I find out what dorm hall I'm in as well as my roommate(s)! I'm SUPER EXCITED! Hehe. I hope that I don't get stuck with an 18/19 year old and a single room. That would suck. I'm pretty sure I was the first one to put in my housing application, so I should get first priority on the hall that I want--I'm hoping! *crosses fingers*
